Senior Care Assistant Day

We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to support the Home Manager, Deputy, and Assistant Manager in all aspects of the home's management, while supporting residents with personal care and ensuring the training and development of staff.

Maternity Cover from 11/05/25 for one year.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Assist the Manager, Deputy Manager, and Assistant Manager in the running of the home efficiently and compassionately in their absence.
2. Ensure a walking handover is carried out and that all residents are accounted for at the start and end of each shift.
3. Contribute to the efficient running of the home and foster a positive atmosphere by leading by example.
4. Support staff training and development, ensuring the in-house training programme is implemented and monitored to high standards.
5. Support residents with personal care, promoting independence and dignity.
6. Assist residents in using the environment according to their care plans and support understanding of the Mobile Care Monitoring System (MCM).
7. Support and promote all aspects of personal care with dignity and respect.

Essential Skills, Characteristics, and Experience:

1. Minimum of NVQ 2, working towards NVQ Level 3 or above.
2. Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor staff, and to be a team player.
3. Effective communication and interaction skills with residents and staff.
