Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group in Borehamwood is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Elstree View Care Home. The role focuses on delivering high standards of personal care in a safe, inclusive environment, supporting residents, and working with the care team.

Shift patterns include 7:00 am - 14:30 pm and 14:00 pm - 21:30 pm, with coverage across a 7:00 am-21:30 pm window. DBS check will be completed by Avery, and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident and update care plans as needed.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervision and support staff development.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives and health/social care professionals, handling requests and escalations.
