Job summary

Hutchinson Care Homes in Northern Ireland is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Clonlee to provide safe, high-quality care in a homely environment. You will assist residents with personal care and daily activities, and liaise with families and health professionals to follow care plans.

You must have at least six months’ care home experience and NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). The role requires a compassionate, reliable team player who can work under pressure and attend

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care including dressing, washing and eating.
• Provide company to residents and monitor wellbeing.
• Respect residents' confidentiality and privacy; document care plans.
• Administer medication under supervision and report changes to supervisors.
• Liaise with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure care plans are followed.
• Attend required training and participate in additional duties as needed.

Senior Care Assistant - Clonlee

Purpose:

Provide a safe, secure and homely environment for our Residents. Provide a high a standard of care within our Care Homes always ensuring to comply with Hutchinson Care Homes Policies and Procedures.

Main Duties:

• You may be required to work in other homes in the business at short notice to assist with staffing levels

• Assisting residents with personal care which includes getting dressed, washing and eating

• Provide company to the Residents.

• Provide information to family member regarding care plans in a professional manner

• Supervise and guide Health Care Assistants and to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care.

• Ensuring the needs and wishes of the residents are met

• Administer medication under supervision

• Working with other health care professionals to provide a high stand of care

• Attend all necessary training when instructed

• Participate in any other duties detailed by management that may be considered relevant

• Report and record any breaks or damages to your Manager /or Deputy Manager

• Demonstrate a positive attitude when carrying out duties and be willing to put in an extra effort if an unexpected situation arrives

• To attend staff meetings as and when required

• Maintain confidentiality at all times

About the role

Administration Duties:

• Keep Residents Care records up to date and inform Manager/Deputy Manager of any changes

• Involvement with resident Care plans and keeping records up to date, accurate, meticulous and legible

• Keep up to date medical records
