About the Role

Koinonia Christian Care Home in Worthing, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to support and lead our dedicated team caring for 38 residents, including those with dementia. Responsibilities

1. Provide high-quality, professional care to residents.
2. Supervise care team staff during your shift, including responsibilities like health and safety, medication administration, and staff cover arrangements.
3. Assist residents with personal hygiene, eating, and drinking.
4. Build relationships with residents to offer comfort and reassurance.
5. Ensure care plans are current and support residents' independence and community involvement.
6. Respect residents' dignity and individuality, including end-of-life care.
7. Perform any additional duties as assigned by management within your capabilities.

About You

• Enjoy working with older adults and demonstrate empathy.
• Hold an NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care or higher.
• Have at least 2 years of experience as a Senior Care Assistant in residential care.
• Willing to lead shifts and take a hands-on approach.
• Team-oriented and adaptable to tasks needed to ensure excellent resident care.

Hours & Benefits

• Bank shifts with a rate of £20.38 per hour on bank holidays.
