Overview

Senior Care Assistant at HC One, with kindness at the core of all care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will know residents and their families to deliver personalised care plans and support residents’ security, dignity and independence. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, and influence the team culture. You may assist with activities such as guiding usage of a walking frame, supporting at end of life, or communicating with families, always with kindness. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through activities and in administering medication. You will maintain accurate records of your work and build strong team relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement care to give residents a sense of security, dignity and independence.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain high standards of care.
  • Support residents and families; deliver truly personalised care plans.
  • Assist with activities that provide physical and mental stimulation; administer medication as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and build strong relationships with the team.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in daily care delivery.
Qualifications
  • Ideally: Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Essential: positive energy, ability to work well with others, good record keeping, time management, and kind communication with residents and co-workers.
