Job description

Senior Care Assistant - Days (40 hour week) GBP 14.48 P.H

Main Functions of the Job

(Note: In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required.)

To maintain current care skills and undertake necessary training and development. To provide leadership in care functions of The Home. To deliver care according to best practices, policies, procedures, standards, legislative requirements, and regulations under the direction of the Manager, within the financial plans.

Main Duties
  1. Management of the Organisation:
  2. Develop effective relationships with the Manager.
  3. Support an open, positive, inclusive management culture.
  4. Participate in policy development and evaluation against organisational goals.
  5. Establish effective employer-employee relationships and minimise legal risks.
  6. Assist in maintaining management information systems and care policies.
  7. Support adherence to legislation and standards for registration of The Home.
  8. Manage The Home's budget efficiently and contribute to quality assurance programs.
  9. Assist in evaluating care standards and resolving operational issues.
  10. Management of Care Services:
  11. Help develop care philosophy, goals, and objectives.
  12. Assess and improve care implementation and delivery.
  13. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximize resident care.
  14. Protect resident rights and promote self-care and rehabilitation.
  15. Evaluate care plans and standards of care.
  16. Professional Leadership:
  17. Encourage innovative care methods and health promotion.
  18. Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  19. Promote a positive image of the services and employment within The Home.
  20. Human Resources Management:
  21. Support onboarding, development, and compliance of staff.
  22. Assist in resolving team conflicts and fostering a high-quality work environment.

Working hours: Days, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications required: RQF Diploma/NVQ Level 3 (desirable) or willingness to work towards it; Level 2 Care qualification (essential).
