A leading care provider in Uddingston is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a team in delivering personalized care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding, ensuring residents receive the highest standards of support. Benefits include competitive pay, training opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, and you will help residents live with security, dignity and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans while leading a team of Care Assistants and maintaining the highest standards of care.
Whether you are showing someone how to use a walking frame, supporting end-of-life meals or speaking with a resident's family, you will do so with kindness as the guiding principle. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, providing essential physical and mental stimulation through activities, and administering medication where required.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with your team.
Safeguarding and continuous learning are integral to the role, with full training provided and opportunities to develop professionally.
At HC-One, kindness is more than a word. It is a belief that caring for people means caring about what matters most to them so we can support them to lead their best possible life.
To provide the kindest possible care there are 5 qualities that everyone who is part of the HC-One team shows up with, supports and coaches in each other every single day. We call these 5 qualities Kindness the HC-One Way: We are curious and ask questions, look for clues and seek to understand. We are compassionate and try to walk in the shoes of others. We are creative yet practical, using our imagination to make things happen. We are courageous in how we support residents to live the life they want, and we can always be counted on.
We champion inclusivity and foster a workplace where everyone feels valued and can be themselves. Our diverse and inclusive workforce allows us to learn from each other and better represent the communities we serve.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and it is important to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and to undertake additional training as needed. You will be encouraged to seek appropriate advice and escalate actions when necessary.
