Job description

For you, that will mean planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families—helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and you'll be a positive influence on the rest of the team. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting someone at the end of their life, or communicating with a resident's family, you'll do so with kindness and compassion.

Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administer medication.

Ideally, you'll have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and be willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is preferred. However, your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. You will communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues alike.

At HC-One, kindness is more than a word; it is a core belief. We support a workplace where everyone shows curiosity, compassion, creativity, courage, and inclusivity—the HC-One Way. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility; you should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond appropriately. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training.

We offer full training and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:

  • £500 welcome bonus (pro rata for part-time)
  • Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
  • Free uniform
