Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of residents, noting changes that impact care and care plans, ensuring new needs are met, and updating written records accordingly.
  • Involvement in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints escalated as needed.
