Job description

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Other responsibilities will include:

  1. Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  2. Being involved in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  3. Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  4. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  5. Acting as a key contact for residents, their relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidate must:

  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment.
  • Have effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
