Please note: This role is for Nights, working 33 hours one week and 44 hours the next over a seven-day rota.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and by joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to them.
Your role will involve planning and implementing care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You'll get to know residents and their families, helping us deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness will be your guiding principle.
In collaboration with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you'll provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication.
A key responsibility is maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships.
Ideally, you'll have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and be willing to pursue a Level 3 qualification or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and knowledge of dementia care are preferred. What's essential is your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping, effective time management, and a considerate, kind communication style.
