A leading care provider in Hebburn is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead care teams, implement personalized care plans, and maintain high standards of care. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead a team of Care Assistants and be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care. You will influence the rest of the team, whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, supporting someone at the end of life, or speaking with a resident’s family. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager and be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the rest of the team.
Qualifications and experience
Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people, good record keeping, and strong time management. You will communicate with residents and co-workers with consideration and kindness.
