Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Puttenham Hill House Care Home in Guildford. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, support with clinical duties, and ensure high-quality, personalised care for residents.

The role involves liaising with GPs and District Nurses, supervising new staff, and maintaining accurate care records. We welcome motivated candidates with NVQ3 in care or working toward it, who are passionate about dignity and independence for residents.

Qualifications

  • NVQ3 in care or working towards that qualification.
  • Motivated, positive with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in leading a care unit is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day responsibility for running a care unit.
  • Support with clinical duties and assist with medication and care plans.
  • Lead and train Care Assistants and manage shift handovers.
  • Build relationships with residents, their families and external teams (GPs/District Nurses).
  • Assist residents with personal care and daily activities.

We’re more than happy to support you in the completion of your qualification if needed.* You're motivated, positive and with great interpersonal skills, and you enjoy working in a close-knit team.
