Job Description - Senior Care Assistant

Introduction

We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Wingham Court Care Home in Surrey.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for driving a team of Care Assistants to deliver high-quality, personal care to our residents. You will also be involved in clinical duties, including supporting the nurse with medication, care plans, and record keeping.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Running a unit and supporting with clinical duties
  • Managing a team of Care Assistants and providing training and supervision to new staff members
  • Building relationships with residents, their families, and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
  • Assisting residents with personal care duties
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An NVQ3 in care (or be willing to work towards it)
  • Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role and a passion for making a difference to people’s lives
