Job summary

E-Fab Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to support elderly residents in a care home environment. You will help ensure wellbeing, dignity and independence through person-centred care and collaborative teamwork.

The role focuses on maintaining safety, completing documentation, administering medications, and liaising with families and healthcare professionals. A compassionate, flexible approach and experience with dementia are valued.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with colleagues, medical professionals and a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ability to: Work with people with limited communication and understand their needs; Follow plans, routines and instructions and be flexible; Use initiative appropriately and work independently with little direct supervision; Prioritise and effectively manage workload; Work well under pressure; Empathise and build supportive and trusting relationships.

Education

• Level 2 + Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent
• An understanding of relevant current legislation, policies and regulations, or training in First Aid
