Job summary

Bupa Cheltenham care home invites applications for a Senior Care Assistant. The role supports the nursing team with clinical duties, including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care plan updates.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit.
• Supporting with clinical duties, including observing and issuing medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping.
• Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including overseeing shift handovers.
• Helping with training and supervising new staff to ensure they feel welcomed and supported.
• Building relationships with residents, families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses.
• Assisting residents with personal care duties.

A Senior Care Assistant is essential within our care home, providing vital support to the nursing team with clinical duties. They ensure residents receive high-quality care by assisting with medical tasks such as administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and updating digital care plans. You'll help us make health happen by:

Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
