What is required from you?
  • A minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK
  • Shift pattern from 8pm to 8am, including alternate weekends
  • Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2, working towards or achieved NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • At least two years' experience in a social care environment, preferably with vulnerable people over 65
  • Good knowledge and experience of dementia care
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to show empathy
A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant
  • Provide person-centred care, including bathing, dressing, and oral care, respecting residents' preferences and promoting independence
  • Contribute to and carry out care reviews to ensure plans meet residents' needs
  • Administer medication safely and compliantly
  • Lead and participate in social activities and outings within the home
  • Support and possibly lead staff and new starters, especially in the absence of senior management
