Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Astbury Manor Care Home in Bracknell, Berkshire. You will support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Ideal candidates will have an NVQ 3 or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar care setting, with strong communication skills and a flexible, compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needed.
• Be involved in the person-centred care planning process with monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
• Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, and health and social care professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive , and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff .

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
