Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

Join to apply for the Senior Care Assistant role at ESI Engineering and Construction.

Vacancy: Senior Care Assistant (Days) – AV1715

Hours: Shifts are from 7am - 2pm, 1:30pm - 8:30pm, or 2pm - 9pm. Occasionally, long days from 7am - 8:15pm. The rota is rolling, so shifts are known in advance.

Location: Bishop's Stortford

Pay rate: approximately £33,000 per annum

A Senior Care Assistant is needed at our client's purpose-built Residential Care facility in Bishop's Stortford. The home provides high standards of care, respecting dignity, nurturing interests, and caring for residents like family.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and daily activities
• Administer medication (training provided)
• Support care staff and oversee shifts
• Communicate with families, GPs, and other professionals
• Respond to emergencies
• Maintain clear and accurate records

Qualifications and Skills

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
• Experience in a care home setting
• Kind, patient, and reliable personality
• Leadership skills for managing a small team
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for elderly care
• Must be a driver or able to commute independently due to rural location
