Job description

Vacancy: Senior Care Assistant (Days) – AV1715

Hours: The shifts are 7am - 2pm, 1:30pm-20:30pm or 2pm-21pm. Occasionally long days 7am - 20:15 pm. There is a rolling rota, so staff know their shifts in advance.

Location: Bishop’s Stortford

Pay rate: c£33,000pa

A Senior Care Assistant is required at our Client’s fantastic purpose built Residential Care facility situated in Bishop’s Stortford. The home offers the highest standards of care where dignity is respected, interests are nurtured and residents are cared for like family.

As aSenior Care Assistant, you’ll lead by example and support the team in delivering exceptional care. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting residents with personal care and daily living activities.
  • Administering medication (after training)
  • Supporting care staff and overseeing shifts
  • Liaising with families, GPs, and other professionals
  • Dealing with emergencies
  • Keeping clear and accurate records

What We’re Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
  • Previous experience in a care home setting
  • A kind, patient and reliable personality
  • Ability to lead a small team with confidence and warmth
  • Good communication skills and a genuine love for elderly care
  • Due to our rural setting, a car driver or the ability to get to work without relying on public transport is essential
