The ideal candidate will have an NVQ 3 or equivalent, a positive attitude towards care, and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar environment. This is a full-time, permanent role located in Birmingham, with a salary range of £12.22 to £12.72 per hour. DBS check required.

Overview

This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves supporting the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Job responsibilities

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. This will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions.

  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of changes impacting care and care plans, ensure new needs are met, and update written records accordingly.
  • Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints escalated.
