Job summary

Prestige Care Group in Bedale seeks a Senior Carer to lead and inspire the care team while delivering exceptional hands-on care to residents.

You will oversee personal care, medication administration and care plans, promoting dignity and wellbeing with compassionate, reliable performance. This role requires flexibility, resilience and strong teamwork across day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experienced in care with leadership qualities.
• Compassionate, reliable, and committed.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
• Flexible to work both Day and Nights Shifts.
• Able to work well and get stuck in with the team.
• Demonstrate determination and resilience.
• Positive “can do” attitude.
• Able to cover shifts across 7 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and emotional support to residents.
• Lead and inspire the care team to deliver high standards.
• Mentor and support colleagues to develop their skills.
• Administer medication safely and accurately.
• Complete care plans, assessments, and maintain records.
• Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing for residents.
• Assist with meals, activities and social outings.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and the care team.

Salary: £13.85 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time

The Role:

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example
• Actas a role model and mentor for care staff
• Supportand guide colleagues to develop their skills

• Completecare plans, assessments, and maintain accurate records
• Promoteindependence, dignity, and wellbeing for residents
• Assistwith meals, activities, and social outings
• Communicateeffectively with residents, families, and the care team
