Senior Care Assistant
Care and Support - Deeside Care Home
Contract: Full Time Salary: £13.60 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: 44

Deeside Care Home is a beautifully designed 68-bed facility offering high standards of Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care in a luxury setting.

We are now looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to lead and inspire our care team, ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of support and comfort in a warm, respectful environment. This is an excellent opportunity to take on more responsibility while continuing to make a meaningful difference every day.

What We Offer:

  • £13.60 per hour
  • 44 hours per week
  • Paid PVG, pension, free uniform and onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on full-time)

Your Role:
As Senior Care Assistant, you will coordinate shifts, support residents with personal care, and ensure medication is administered safely and correctly. You will lead by example, promote dignity and independence, maintain accurate documentation, and create a positive atmosphere in the home. You’ll also be a key link between the care team, families, and healthcare professionals.

What We’re Looking For:
You will hold a minimum of SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and ideally have experience in a similar senior care role. We welcome applications from experienced Care Assistants working towards their Level 3. Medication training with up-to-date competencies is essential. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, the confidence to lead a shift, and a kind, compassionate approach to care.
