Job summary

London Medical, part of Bupa, is seeking a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to lead the day-to-day operation of the cardiology service at our Marylebone site. You will perform and report echocardiography and related tests, and develop clinical pathways to ensure excellent patient care.

The role involves supervising a small team of cardiac physiologists, driving governance, and collaborating with consultants. It is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities across London sites.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Clinical Cardiac Physiology or equivalent qualification.
• BSE TTE Level 2 Accreditation or EACVI Certification.
• Significant post-qualification clinical experience; independence in reporting echocardiograms.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational and clinical management of the cardiology service.
• Perform and independently report TTEs and other cardiac investigations.
• Lead and develop a small team of Cardiac Physiologists and Cardiac Associates.
• Develop and embed clinical protocols, policies and governance.
• Ensure readiness for CQC inspections and maintain governance standards.
• Manage equipment, resources and stock; drive service improvements.
