Arup’s purpose, shared values and collaborative approach have set us apart for over 75 years, guiding how we shape a better world.

As part of the Climate and Sustainability business, our consultants have extensive expertise in carbon management. Arup has been involved in numerous projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and promoting sustainable practices.

We supported the UK Government’s sustainability initiatives for COP26, developed a Carbon Management Plan, and established a sustainable supply chain. We also supported the G7 Summit 2021 in achieving ISO 20121 certification and delivering a carbon-neutral event.

Our projects include devising Net Zero Plans for Queen's University Belfast, providing decarbonisation services for Northern Ireland Water, developing emissions monitoring tools for VisitScotland, and collaborating with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority on emissions pathway analysis.

We work on major infrastructure projects such as TRU and The Holyhead Hydrogen Hub, driving carbon improvements within wider design teams.

Our multidisciplinary approach, informed by our engineering heritage and technical expertise, enables us to tackle complex sustainability challenges and deliver impactful results.
