About Oxford Nanopore Technologies

Oxford Nanopore Technologies is headquartered at the Oxford Science Park outside Oxford, UK, with satellite offices and a commercial presence in many global locations across the US, APAC, and Europe. Our goal is to enable the analysis of any living thing, by anyone, anywhere.

We employ individuals from multiple subject areas, including nanopore science, molecular biology and applications, informatics, engineering, electronics, manufacturing, and commercialisation. Our sequencing platform is the only technology that offers real-time analysis, in fully scalable formats from pocket to population scale. This platform can analyse native DNA or RNA and sequence any length of fragment to achieve short to ultra-long read lengths.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Campaign Manager to join our Global Campaigns team and lead the planning, delivery, measurement and optimisation of integrated marketing campaigns for non-human applications and scientific customer audiences.

This is a hands-on campaign role for someone who can turn business priorities and customer insight into clear, measurable, multi-channel campaigns. You will help ensure relevant, engaging and informative materials reach existing and potential customers in a coherent way, supporting lead generation, nurture programmes and the growth of Oxford Nanopore product utilisation.

The Role

Reporting to the Associate Director, Global Campaigns, you will manage assigned campaigns from brief through launch, optimisation and post-campaign review. You will work cross-functionally with Strategic Marketing, Content/Communications, Digital, Marketing Technology, Events, Regional Marketing, Product Marketing, Commercial teams and external partners to deliver campaigns that are audience-focused, on-brand and measurable.

You will need strong communication, project management and stakeholder skills, alongside the ability to distil complex scientific and technical concepts into clear campaign narratives. You will also use data and insight to understand what is working, improve performance and apply learnings to future activity.

Key responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver and optimise integrated global marketing campaigns for non-human applications and customer audiences.
  • Translate business priorities, customer insight and technical information into clear campaign briefs, messaging, audience journeys, channel plans and measures of success.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery across content, communications, digital, email, web, events, regional marketing, product and commercial teams.
  • Work with Marketing Technology and Business Systems colleagues to support targeting, automation, reporting and campaign measurement.
  • Support the planning, scheduling and review of email, nurture, digital and third-party marketing activity within assigned campaigns.
  • Use analytics, testing and post-campaign learning to improve campaign effectiveness over time.
  • Ensure campaign outputs are aligned to Oxford Nanopore's brand, tone of voice, quality standards and customer-focused approach.
  • Manage campaign timelines, risks, dependencies and, where required, discrete budgets, agencies or third-party channel activity.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, life sciences or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience planning and delivering integrated, multi-channel B2B marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver campaigns against agreed objectives, timelines and measures of success.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and dependencies at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone to audience and platform.
  • A confident storyteller who can distil complex scientific or technical concepts into clear, engaging campaign content.
  • Comfort using campaign data, reporting and insight to optimise activity and inform future plans.
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, email, digital and/or campaign reporting tools.
  • Collaborative, proactive and accountable, with strong attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ideally, previous experience in life sciences, genomics, biotech or another technical/scientific sector, with an understanding of scientific audiences and non-human or applied-market applications.
