Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Band 8a Practitioner Psychologist within the SOLAR Core Team. The post involves highly specialist assessments, individual therapy and group work for children and young people in Solihull.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered clinical/counselling psychologist or equivalent
• Experience delivering psychological services to children and young people (0-18)
• Ability to supervise psychologists and assistant psychologists

Responsibilities

• Conduct highly specialist psychological assessments, individual therapy and group work for Children, Young People and Families.
• Develop supervision of psychological therapists and assistant psychologists as required.
• Provide consultation, service development, research and teaching/training within Solar Core.
• Take a lead on aspects of the service and participate in CPD and training activities.
