Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Highly Specialist Counselling/Clinical Psychologist for the Solar Core Team in Solihull. The post focuses on specialist assessments, individual therapy and group work with children and young people aged 0-18.

The role includes supervision of psychology staff and involvement in consultation, service development, research and teaching. Based at Bishop Wilson Clinic, with occasional duties at other Solar bases and CPD

Qualifications

• Highly specialist psychological assessments, individual therapy and group work.
• Development of supervision of psychological therapists and assistant psychologists.
• Consultation, service development, research and teaching/training as required.
• There are opportunities to lead on aspects in the service and ongoing CPD and training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct highly specialist psychological assessments for children and young people.
• Provide individual therapy and group work within Solar Core.
• Develop supervision structures for psychologists and assistants.
