Job summary

North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead the SET CAMHS Basildon and Brentwood team. You will assess patients, craft care plans for complex needs and drive service delivery within community CAMHS.

The role offers flexible working options including part-time and remote sessions, with senior on-call duties. GMC registration and Approved Clinician status (or eligibility) are required.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise
• Approved Clinician status or eligibility

Responsibilities

• Lead service delivery for CAMHS Basildon/Brentwood team
• Assess patients and develop care plans for complex needs
• Organise and prioritise workload for self and team
• Deputise for team manager and delegate to medical staff
• Manage risk and report incidents to Trust risk register
• Initiate referrals to specialist services and agencies
• Provide information to patients and relatives to support choices
• Maintain accurate electronic records and audit trails
• Follow Trust protocols and evidence-based practice
• Participate in senior psychiatrist on-call rota (1:7)
• Support Directorate to follow Trust values
