Job summary

North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist for the CAMHS team in Stoke. This full-time fixed-term role (12 months) involves an 8am–8pm rota, Monday–Friday, with potential 12-hour shifts.

You will assess and deliver OT interventions to young people with mental health needs, liaise with professionals, and contribute to service development. The role emphasizes a person-centred approach, working with schools and carers, and supporting educational

Qualifications

• MOHO framework knowledge relevant to OT assessment and intervention.
• Bachelor-level or equivalent OT qualification and HCPC registration expected in general.
• Experience with paediatric mental health or neurodevelopmental settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide OT interventions for young people with mental health needs and/or neurodevelopmental difficulties.
• Develop liaison with professionals in CAMHS and related services.
• Plan, develop, and evaluate OT services within the designated area and caseload.
• Apply MOHO model in OT assessments and interventions for young people and carers.
• Collaborate with schools and contribute to EHCP to support education engagement.
• Lead and plan management of treatments considering emotional, cognitive, physical, and social needs.
• Use a person-centred and collaborative approach with young people and carers.
• Evaluate treatment and modify as needed.
• Provide education and lifestyle advice to improve functioning in daily life.
