Job summary

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust seeks a Consultant in Core CAMHS to lead clinical care and senior medical input. The role includes outpatient clinics, home visits, and remote consultations, with a focus on complex cases and multidisciplinary teamwork.

The post offers development in clinical governance, adherence to MHA duties, and flexible working with up to 30 days study leave. GMC registration and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• MB BS or equivalent medical qualification required.
• GMC registration and licence to practise.
• Experience providing high-quality mental health services as a trainee or consultant.
• Clinical leadership experience with positive team relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage a compact caseload of the most complex cases.
• Provide senior medical advice, support and clinical leadership.
• Run outpatient clinics for routine and urgent assessments and follow-ups.
• Carry out home visits and remote consultations where appropriate.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team and liaise with agencies.
• Attend MDT meetings and CPA reviews.
• Maintain electronic health records and participate in governance.
• Engage in statutory and mandatory training and MHA/MCA duties.
