ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting contract role has arisen for a Senior Calibration Technician to join a leading company in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry based in the South East area. As the Senior Calibration Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the precision and reliability of control systems and instrumentation within a state-of-the-art cGMP bioproduction facility.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Technical Senior Calibration Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Perform calibration and maintenance of control systems, SCADA, and PLCs, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

2. Oversee the implementation and management of a new Environmental Monitoring System with E-Labs, contributing to the facility's cutting-edge capabilities.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and calibration issues, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.

4. Ensure all calibration activities are documented and compliant with regulatory requirements, supporting the facility's cGMP operations.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Senior Calibration Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a related field such as Engineering, Instrumentation, or a similar discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in instrumentation and calibration, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or other highly regulated sectors.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with control systems, SCADA, and PLCs, with familiarity with Siemens or Allen Bradley systems being advantageous.
