We’re offering a fantastic opportunity for a Senior CAD Technician to join our team, specialising in major projects across the water sector. This role can be based at our Brighton, Southampton, High Wycombe, Cambridge, Ashford or Reading offices, with hybrid working arrangements that allow for a mix of in-office and home-based work.

As a Senior CAD Technician, you’ll work as part of our respected Digital Design team, collaborating with skilled technicians and engineers on some of the most technically complex and exciting projects in the water sector. You’ll use a variety of 2D and 3D software—including Civil 3D and Revit —and have the opportunity to mentor and train junior colleagues in the most effective use of CAD software.

You’ll report to a Regional Discipline Lead, who will provide you with technical guidance and support to help you continue developing your career. We offer a great working environment in modern offices and a support network that will empower you to achieve your professional goals.

Duties include:
  • Preparing project drawings and BIM models, understanding and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements
  • Collaborating with engineers, consultants, and technicians from multiple disciplines
  • Managing personal workload plans and ensuring delivery deadlines are met
  • Working within Common Data Environments

About you:

You’ll have prior experience working as a CAD Technician, Senior CAD Technician, or in a similar digital delivery role—preferably in the water or energy sectors . Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience in developing design deliverables in collaboration with multi-discipline design teams
  • Experience working in Common Data Environments using data management systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 and delivering information in accordance with these standards
  • Expertise in 2D and 3D BIM delivery using industry-standard tools from Autodesk and Bentley
  • The ability to organise and manage workloads across multiple projects
  • Willingness to mentor junior colleagues in BIM and new software developments

Finally, you will share our passion for innovation and client service, and be eager to tackle a range of challenges as we continue to grow within the sector.
