Qualifications

• Expérience antérieure dans un rôle de conception dans un secteur à haut risque tel que la marine ou le bâtiment de navires.
• Capacité à utiliser des packages CAD, notamment FORAN, SIEMENS NX et Solidworks.
• Connaissance des méthodes et outils pour des conceptions détaillées à grande échelle.

Responsibilities

• Travailler sur la conception et la production du modèle 3D de la structure primaire du bateau.
• Produire des dessins 2D pour soutenir les équipes de fabrication.
• Collaborer avec l'équipe pour partager les meilleures pratiques.

Job title: Senior CAD Designer- Hull and Outfit

Location: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role

Salary: Competitive, Circa £35000+

What you'll be doing:

• Working on the design and production of the 3D model of the whole boat primary structure
• Producing 2D drawing outputs to support the manufacturing and production teams in product build and delivery
• Collaborating as a team, sharing best practice and improving our product and design

Your skills and experiences:

• Previous experience within a design role with a background from a high hazard industry such as Civil, Structures, Marine, Oil & Gas Environment / background, Ship Buildings or submarines preferable
• Ability to use CAD Packages, particularly FORAN, SIEMENS NX and / or Solidworks
• Knowledge of techniques, processes and tools for large scale detailed designs of platforms, assemblies, systems and equipment installation

The Hull & Outfit team:

You will be surrounded and supported by other Designers such as Principal Designers, Assistant Project Leaders and Project Leaders to ensure you are supported and set up for success in your new role with us. The specialised teams within the overall design team include but are not limited to: Seating, Penetrations, Eye plates, Primary Structure, Hull Mechanics. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
