Job summary

Apple in Cambridge is seeking a seasoned CAD engineer to help automate chip-design workflows and scale simulation tooling for large-scale silicon projects. You will work with Apple’s CAD Hardware Tech team to optimize performance and resource usage across vendor and internal teams.

You will contribute to high-impact silicon initiatives powering devices across Apple's ecosystem, collaborating with hardware and software groups to deliver robust, efficient infrastructure and workflows for

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working on RTL simulation tools.
• Strong foundation on Linux and grid computing systems.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and be productive under tight schedules.
• Fluency in English required

• Develop and deploy methodologies to automate chip design processes.
• Improve simulation performance and optimise resource usage for large-scale runs.
• Support and debug issues on large-scale simulations across vendor and internal teams.
