Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Southampton is seeking a Software Engineer with C++ experience to join our Integrated Sensors & Protection team, working on defence and commercial projects.

You will contribute to developing new features, collaborating with fellow engineers, and delivering robust Windows and Linux applications, HMI/GUI, and test frameworks within iterative development lifecycles. Security clearance eligibility is required, and hybrid working with time in the Southampton office is available.

Qualifications

• C++ or relevant Object Oriented software development.
• Familiarity with Electronics and lower-level firmware.
• Documentation to create interfaces machine to machine.
• Test frameworks and test development.
• HMI/GUI/UX experience.
• Experience Windows & Linux applications.
• Iterative development lifecycles (e.g., Agile).
• Tools: Jira, DevOps, Git.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces.
• CUDA integration (AI/ML) is a plus.
