Ocean Red is recruiting a Senior C++ Trading Systems Engineer / Quant Developer to join a remote-first team based in London. You will work on a live, in-house systematic futures platform, building safer, more reliable components and closer to execution, market data, backtesting and P&L control.

You'll shape architecture, improve order handling and broker connectivity while maintaining high ownership and real-time decision making.

Qualifikationen

• Recent, applied C++ experience in production systems.
• Experience in or near trading systems, market data, FIX, backtesting.
• Strong reasoning about concurrency, latency, debugging, testing.
• You can explain systems you’ve personally built, owned or improved.
• Understanding of backtests vs data leakage, regime change and biases.

Aufgaben

• Improve and extend production trading infrastructure across C++, Python, market data, broker connectivity, order handling, research tooling and deployment workflows.
• Own or co-own critical components such as the order processor, execution simulator, market data storage, backtesting framework, risk controls, reconciliation and recovery.
• Make backtests more honest by accounting for fills, spread, volume, latency and execution constraints.
• Strengthen live-trading safety through limits, kill switches, monitoring, logging and state recovery.
• Collaborate with senior technical lead to turn research ideas into production-ready trading capability.
• Provide engineering discipline to a small environment without slowing it with heavy processes.
