Job summary

Hunter Bond is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a London-based, technology-driven trading environment. The role focuses on architecting and delivering high-performance C#/.NET systems within a quantitative investment context.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to translate complex ideas into robust production software, optimize critical code paths and contribute to scalable, data-intensive architectures.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial experience with C# and .NET.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency and asynchronous programming.
• Excellent algorithms, data structures and software design.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Experience designing production-grade systems with databases and high-volume data.
• Focus on code quality, testing and maintainability.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing high-performance C#/.NET systems
• Building scalable applications and services used by quantitative and investment teams
• Working closely with quantitative researchers to translate complex ideas into robust production software
• Designing systems capable of processing significant volumes of data
• Investigating and resolving complex performance and scalability challenges
