Job summary

Nanotek in Manchester is seeking a skilled .NET engineer focused on Optimizely and bespoke solutions. You will work across full stack with Optimizely CMS (11/12) or Umbraco, using .NET Core/.NET Framework, C#12, ASP.NET Core MVC and Blazor.

You will join a cross-functional team in a hybrid role with three days in the Manchester office and two remote, delivering high-quality software for multiple clients and digital projects.

Qualifications

• Good Optimizely CMS development expertise using versions 11 and 12; or strong Umbraco experience.
• Solid knowledge of coding and architectural patterns and coding approaches.
• Commercial expertise in .NET Framework 4.5+ and .NET Core 6+; C#12; ASP.NET Core MVC / Razor Pages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Optimizely-centric and bespoke .NET solutions.
• Implement Optimizely technologies and .NET Core / .NET Framework-based software.
• Collaborate with QA, BA, PM, DevOps and wider Engineering teams.
• Deliver tasks on time with technical excellence and clear planning.
• Define technical scope, estimates and required skills for projects.
• Ensure unit testing, source control, coding standards, deployments and docs.

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:

• Good Optimizely CMS development expertise using versions 11 and 12; alternatively highly experienced using Umbraco CMS.
• Good knowledge of coding and architectural patterns and coding approaches.
• Good commercial expertise in .NET Framework 4.5+, .NET Core 6+, C#12, ASP.NET Core MVC / Razor Pages.
• Experience with source control such as Git.
• Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Experience with HTML, CSS / SASS.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A collaborative working style and willingness to work with a diversely skilled team.
• Ability to communicate technology solutions to non-technical external stakeholders and parties.
• Desirable: Optimizely Content Cloud Certified Developer.
• Desirable: Azure Certifications.
• Desirable: SQL Server / Azure SQL using Entity Framework Core.
• Desirable: Familiarity with Blazor WebAssembly for building interactive client-side web applications.
• Desirable: Azure Cloud Services.
• Desirable: Azure DevOps.
• Previous experience developing bespoke web applications using .NET Core.
• Understanding of the full software development life cycle, ideally Agile/Scrum.
• Experience working in a full technical project team, ideally for a digital agency or technical digital consultancy.
• Experience working across multiple streams of work concurrently, involving several clients.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Optimizely-centric solutions as well as bespoke solutions written using .NET.
• Implement Optimizely and associated technologies, and bespoke software solutions using .NET Core / .NET Framework, C#12 and ASP.NET Core.
• Collaborate effectively with QA, BA, PM, DevOps and other members of the wider Engineering and agency teams.
• Be accountable for the timely and technically sound delivery of assigned tasks.
• Proactively drive the technical definition of software delivery project planning, including scope, time estimates and technical skills.
• Ensure technical implementation and delivery processes such as unit testing, source control, coding standards, deployments and technical documentation are followed, improved and evolved as practices mature.
• Help ensure the technical objectives of the Optimizely Engineering team are met.
• Maintain and enhance our reputation for Optimizely and .NET technical excellence.

We are offering a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in the office in Manchester and 2 days remote.
