Job summary

Millennium’s Information Technology team seeks a seasoned C++ engineer to design, develop and maintain low-latency execution and order-management systems for front-office trading across regions.

You will collaborate with central trading teams, reduce latency with advanced systems programming, build data analysis and testing tools, and contribute to high-performance infrastructure used by equities and futures desks worldwide. A strong Linux background and 10+ years in software are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including 5+ years in front-office financial services.
• Strong expertise in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming in C++.
• Proficiency with C++17 and C++20, multithreading, and asynchronous programming environments.
• Deep knowledge of Linux system internals and networking.
• Strong financial markets experience across multiple asset classes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain low-latency C++ execution algorithms and order management systems.
• Collaborate with central trading teams to optimize execution performance across regions.
• Reduce system latency using advanced network and systems programming techniques.
• Build tools for data analysis and trading simulations to improve research productivity.
• Develop automated tests, benchmarking frameworks, and internal engineering tools.
• Work with trading teams to gather requirements and deliver timely solutions.
