Job summary

NVIDIA Networking Unit seeks a senior C/C++ Software Developer to design and implement features for NIC/DPU platforms. You will create tools and reference applications for monitoring, debugging, and performance analysis across host and DPU environments.

You will lead the development of large features with Agile practices, review architectures, and collaborate across architecture, firmware, hardware, and validation teams to deliver robust software throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in software development in C/C++
• Proficient with Linux and/or embedded systems
• Bachelor's degree in a related field

NVIDIA Networking Unit is looking for an experienced C/C++ Software Developer to join our team that works on NVIDIA NIC/DPU. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new features for our core products in the networking area. What you’ll be doing:

• Design and develop software for NVIDIA NIC and DPU platforms, working on features that improve functionality, visibility, and overall system capability.
• Build and enhance tools, libraries, and reference applications that help with monitoring, debugging, performance analysis, and ease of use across host and DPU environments.
• Investigate and improve system performance across hardware and software stacks, helping to identify bottlenecks and optimize throughput, latency, scalability, and efficiency.
• Contribute to new offload and acceleration capabilities that improve platform performance and enable advanced networking and data-processing use cases.
• Collaborate with architecture, firmware, hardware, validation, and software teams across NVIDIA to develop and deliver new capabilities from early stages through the full product lifecycle.

What we need to see:

• 12+ years of hands‑on experience in software development in C/C++.
• Good understanding of Linux operating system and/or embedded systems.
• Bachelors Degree within a relative field.
• Highly adaptable, with a strong aptitude for learning, researching, and analysing tasks.
• Ability to inspect and improve the code, processes, and architecture of the existing systems.
• Knowledge and experience in the delivery of high‑quality software.
• Use and experience of AI coding tools.
• Strong background in designing, implementing and debugging complex software.
• Experience in leading the development of big features/projects, familiarity with Agile, designing the architecture, reporting progress.
• Ability to present design and architectural decisions to peers and management.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Strong software development fundamentals, including compilers, build systems, Linux environments, and hands‑on debugging of complex system‑level issues.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and experience with technologies such as the Ethernet protocol stack, sockets, DPDK, or related performance‑oriented networking frameworks.
• Ability to analyze technical problems in depth, understand system‑level trade‑offs, and deliver practical, well‑optimized solutions.
