Due to a recent merger and significant stakeholder investment in R&D, our client is seeking a Senior C Developer to lead development and coding projects.

Please note, due to the need for product training and on-site collaboration, the role requires full-time presence in the Nottingham office initially. After training, there may be an option for hybrid working.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £70,000, plus an annual bonus scheme, private healthcare, flexible working options, paid overtime, and opportunities for progression.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all phases of the software lifecycle, including design, programming, configuration, and deployment.
2. Conduct code reviews with internal developers and suppliers.
3. Develop software for bespoke automation pilot systems using MS Visual Studio, C, C++, SQL, and VB.NET.
4. Gain expertise in bespoke automation control systems and maintain databases, dashboards, and analytic reports.
5. Use SQL servers daily to review dashboards and generate detailed reports.
6. Contribute significantly to internal development projects as directed by the Development Manager.
7. Collaborate with cross-departmental management, stakeholders, and on-site customers.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in low-level C programming.
• Experience with VB.NET/.NET & C# web development is highly desirable.
• Experience conducting C code reviews.
• Proficiency in SQL, report generation, and dashboard maintenance.
• Experience in factory process control or industrial automation is preferable.
• Knowledge of configuring and implementing control systems is a plus but not essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
