This e-commerce retail platform with operations in the UK & Europe, is currently growing their non-food category team! With first-class supply chain and its core & cutting-edge digital solutions, this business is renowned for its innovation and excellence, all within a start-up culture.

As a Buying Manager – LDA (Large Domestic Appliances), you will be responsible for leading our Appliance category, delivering a compelling product assortment at the best value for UK consumers.

You’ll play a key role in shaping category direction, building strong supplier partnerships, and contributing to the expansion of a fast-growing e-commerce business.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a highly competitive LDA assortment, offering the best product selection at the most compelling value for consumers.
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with suppliers to ensure access to top-performing, in-demand appliances.
  • Shape and execute category strategies for managing a high-volume SKU count effectively and profitably.
  • Lead end-to-end buying and commercial planning for the LDA category—covering product selection, sales forecasting, and lifecycle management.
  • Drive business development by onboarding leading appliance brands and securing exclusive deals and promotional campaigns.
  • Analyse performance metrics and identify sourcing gaps to enhance supplier output and category results.
  • Negotiate pricing, trading terms, and cost efficiencies to maximise gross margin and profitability.
  • Partner with international supply chain teams to secure logistical and operational support for product availability.

Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in category management or buying within retail or e-commerce, with a focus on large domestic appliances or consumer electronics.
  • 8–10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Passion for the LDA category, with full ownership of the product range from strategy to execution.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, making quick and confident decisions.
  • Strong understanding of UK consumers, market insights, and emerging trends.
  • Existing supplier networks within household appliances and ability to foster new strategic partnerships.
