Morson Group is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead subcontract procurement for a major regional water investment. You will manage tender processes, build a structured supply chain, and mentor junior buyers while collaborating with project teams in a hybrid working model.

The ideal candidate has NEC4 subcontract experience, strong procurement credentials, and a drive to develop within a high‑profile, long‑term programme that supports communities and environmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• NEC4 subcontract experience is essential.
• Construction procurement experience in a similar role.
• CIPS aiming to achieve MCIPS.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontract procurement from tender to award and manage the supply chain through delivery.
• Run e-tendering with a total value approach to selection.
• Build a structured, high-performing, segmented supply chain.
• Partner with project teams and make procurement simple for them.
• Mentor and develop junior buyers.
• Drive social value, local SME engagement and Net Zero.
