Overview

The shift pattern for this post is: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 / 09:00 - 17:00

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Senior Buyer (Equipment & Contracts) within the Capital Equipment and Equipping Team, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

The Role

The Capital Equipment and Equipping Team provides a professional equipment and maintenance procurement service to all NHSGG divisions, including purchasing, storage, and distribution, legal requirements, project management services and procurement management data. The post holder reports to the NHSGG&C Commercial Tender Manager for Capital Equipment & Contracts. The post holder will work for procurement on maintenance contract renewals and equipment purchasing across small, medium and large-scale equipping projects, replacement equipping via national frameworks and tendering/mini-comps, all while delivering value for money for the board.

Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in procurement/buying/operational roles.
  • Professional/postgraduate qualification in Procurement and Supply (minimum CIPS Level 4 Diploma) or working towards, with demonstrated proficiency in procurement in a large-scale, multi-disciplinary environment.
