About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer with a specialization in IT and Technology procurement to join their team in Randburg . This role is critical for sourcing and acquiring hardware, software, and technology services that meet the company's evolving needs. You will be responsible for developing strategic sourcing plans, negotiating complex contracts, and managing key technology vendor relationships. The ideal candidate possesses deep industry knowledge, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven track record in driving value and innovation through technology procurement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the sourcing and procurement of all IT hardware, software, cloud services, and related technology solutions.
Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of technology products and services.
Negotiate complex contracts, licensing agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) with technology vendors.
Manage and maintain strong relationships with key IT suppliers, ensuring performance and fostering innovation.
Conduct market analysis for technology trends and pricing to inform purchasing decisions.
Collaborate with IT departments and other stakeholders to understand technology requirements and recommend optimal solutions.

Requirements

Significant experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist , with a strong focus on IT and technology procurement.
In-depth knowledge of the IT hardware, software, and services market.
Proven success in negotiating complex technology contracts and vendor agreements.
Excellent understanding of IT procurement lifecycle and best practices.
Strong analytical skills and ability to assess technology solutions and vendor capabilities.
