Senior Buyer

With over 40 years of combined experience, their team specializes in end-of-line, closeouts, and clearance products from top brands, offering an extensive range for all home categories.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain supplier relationships, sourcing stock from new and existing suppliers domestically and internationally.
  • Drive the P&L and contribute to the company's growth and product offering.
  • Engage in cold calling, visiting trade fairs, networking, and meetings to source new suppliers.
  • Manage key accounts and develop relationships with global supply chains.
  • Research new product opportunities and attend domestic and international exhibitions.
  • Negotiate prices and terms to secure competitive deals.

Candidate Attributes:

  • Experience in stock clearance or discount wholesale trade.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive supplier relationships.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in relevant buying roles.
  • Experience with products from gifting, DIY, garden, homeware, and seasonal categories.

Package:

  • Potential bonus up to £10k in the first year, with an uncapped OTE of £70K in the second year.
  • Expenses, 28 days holiday including bank holidays, early finish on Fridays, free parking, pension scheme.
