Job description

An opportunity to join an exciting and established food service business who are a leading in a number of sectors. This is a hybrid role based in Reading and requires someone with experience buying ingredients or food categories.

Client Details

Our client has a wealth of knowledge and experience across a number of sectors including restaurants, contract catering, sporting events and government buildings.

They offer a wide and diverse range of food and drink offerings and quality is always at the heart of their decisions. They build long term relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Based in Reading (2 days pw), this is a Hybrid role.

Description

  • Leading the procurement and category management across a range of food categories (including Bakery & Produce)
  • Developing long term relationships with suppliers.
  • Sourcing new food products and negotiations on contracts
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders such as Finance, NPD, Marketing and Supply Chain
  • Helping launch new and seasonal menu decisions.

Profile

  • 2 years of procurement experience within procurement for a food service business.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • A passion for the food industry.
