Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Senior Buyer for a market-leading manufacturing organisation in Ballykelly. You will own strategic procurement, supplier performance, and cost optimisation across a dynamic supply chain.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead sourcing initiatives, negotiate commercial agreements, and build high-performing supplier partnerships to drive operational excellence and business growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior Buyer or in procurement roles within manufacturing or related industrial environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills.
• Track record of delivering cost savings and supplier improvements.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is advantageous.
• CIPS qualification or progress towards one is beneficial.

Senior Buyer

Position Details

Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Permanent position, subject to a 6-month probationary period

Salary: £45,000+ depending on experience and overall suitability
Location: Ballykelly

Hours: 40-hour working week with flexible start and finish times (typical hours Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:30, Friday 08:00-12:00)
Hybrid Working: Up to 1 day per week working from home following a 4-week onboarding period

Annual Leave: 30 days per year, inclusive of bank holidays
Pension: 3% employer contribution / 5% employee contribution
Healthcare: Private medical scheme
Life Assurance: 3x annual salary

• Strong analytical, planning, and stakeholder management capabilities.


• Experience using ERP/MRP systems is advantageous.


• CIPS qualification or working towards one would be beneficial.
