A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Buyer:

1. Regionally focused experienced procurement specialist who identifies the regional operating unit demand and supply chain capacity.
2. Deliver the procurement strategy for projects and the overarching regional strategy, developing the regional supply chain to meet project-specific and regional demands.
3. Provide market standard procurement solutions demonstrating best overall value for money.
4. Procurement of sub-contractors and materials, including:

• Work winning / Pre-construction procurement strategy and supply chain selection for Bid Leader.
• Construction stage procurement for Project Teams, including developing and managing the procurement schedule.
• Collaborate with project teams on work package documents.
• Lead technical and commercial negotiations with the supply chain.
• Prepare and issue sub-contracts in coordination with project teams.
• Manage NEC4 and Schedule 5 sub-contract formalities, including execution, bonds, and warranties.

Supply chain management, including structuring, performance, and relationship management to drive performance and cost benefits.

Support the group procurement goals within the region.
